Academics
Bass Christian Elementary provides a concrete educational program that aligns itself with the Mississippi State Standards as well as the North American Division Educational Standards. Academic excellence is further enhanced by the professional BCE staff providing theme-based, hands-on learning opportunities across all subject. Along with providing the basic core elements of education, learning extends beyond the classroom and into the experiential lives of our students with community outreach.

Grades
1-2

We focus on building a solid spiritual and academic foundation with our first and second graders. Our curriculum focuses on the foundational skills of reading, writing, and math. We believe in using hands-on strategies along with technology to enhance our students understanding of phonics, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, writing, number sense, and problem solving skills. We integrate biblical principles across the curriculum and encourage students to apply God's word to their daily lives.
Grades 3-5

Our scholars in grades third through fifth are more independent thinkers and have transitioned from learning to read to reading to learn. Therefore, students are introduced to research skills. We focus on specific content areas including science and social studies. Biblical principles are integrated across the curriculum and taught in a Bible class daily. The scholars memorize bible verses and are encouraged to apply God's word to their daily lives.
Grades 6-8

Our sixth through eighth grade scholars are held to a high standard academically, socially, and spiritually. We strive to create spiritual leaders through our program that cultivates positive behaviors, critical thinking, organizational and social skills. We utilize scriptures as the basis of the program and encourage our scholars to apply God's word to their daily lives.
